Thank you for visiting Lara Neece Art. I am a 26-year-old working artist, currently developing my artist portfolio and a small line of nature-inspired screen-printed items. I love all forms of art-making, fine art, handcraft, illustration, print, photography, and design. Recently, I have been working with ink, acrylic paint, and varnish, drawing, painting, and screen-printing animal imagery on wood, paper, canvas, and clothing. I have a BA in English literature with a concentration in creative writing. I studied the basics of drawing and oil painting in Florence, Italy, during college, but am otherwise self-taught. I established this Web site to exhibit my personal artwork and follow my growth as an artist.

In addition to art, one of my favorite pastimes is travel. My boyfriend and I  spent the past year-and-a-half living aboard and preparing his ‘37 sailboat Illusion for a sailing trip to the Caribbean. We will be south bound in the coming weeks.
